Following on from a spirited game against homesiders Sallins this afternoon, Balyna will now face St Laurence’s in the U23 “B” Championship final on Saturday November 30th in Hawkfield at 4pm, ticket details are tbc.
Balyna had to overcome extra time to grind out the win. Sallins looked to have snatched victory in the dying seconds with a kickable free but this veered wide.
Balyna put the pressure on in the second half of extra time and ran out 3.17-2.16 winners. Credit must go to both teams for putting on a great game of football in difficult conditions.
