This morning we think of Bernadette Miggin, nee Murray, and her family as she is laid to rest following 11am Mass in Broadford church.
The Miggin and Murray name are synonymous with Clogherinkoe GFC. Bernadette’s brothers Joe (RIP) and Colman played for Clogherinkoe while her own family are active members and provide a huge contribution to the club. Bernadette’s husband, Kevin, has acted as Chairman and now has the role of Club President, he is also a much valued member of our lotto committee.
Her sons Ollie and Gordy have played at all levels for the club and are always available to assist the club in anyway. Her daughter Bernie is a huge Cloghs supporter and her voluntary work through Balyna Community First Responders and providing training through the club in the use of AEDs has resulted in many positive outcomes. Annmarie, while living in Cork, still manages to support the Cloghs and along with her children, attend many events.
The net casts further to include grandchildren, daughter in laws, sons in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends, all impacted by Bernadette’s sad passing. we think of them all today and in the coming weeks.
As a mark of respect to Bernadette and her family, the club had a minutes silence at their last league game, a Guard of Honour at her removal, we will send a Wreath as a symbol of our condolence, we have also postponed the lotto draw until Tuesday July 2nd.
